Healing through Breath · Balance through Yoga
Breathlessness can make everyday life feel smaller — walking, climbing stairs, sleeping well, or even leaving home can become harder.
Aroha Lung Wellness brings medical care, pulmonary physiotherapy, and yoga-based breathing therapy into one online program designed around you.
We help with breathlessness, airway clearance, breathing muscle training, safe exercise, nutrition, vaccination guidance, pollution-related lung concerns, and seasonal respiratory allergies.
Whether you live with COPD, asthma, post-TB lung sequelae, pulmonary fibrosis, post-infection breathing difficulty, or pollution-triggered symptoms, Aroha helps you understand your lungs, build stamina, and breathe with more confidence — wherever you are.
Pulmonary rehabilitation is a structured, evidence-based program that helps people with lung conditions breathe easier, move more safely, and feel more confident in daily life.
We start with a careful assessment of your symptoms, medical history, breathing tests where available, activity level, and personal goals.
Your plan may include safe exercise training, breathing techniques, airway clearance, education, lifestyle support, nutrition advice, and confidence-building strategies for flare-ups and daily activities.
The aim is simple: less fear around breathlessness, better stamina, stronger daily habits, and a clearer understanding of how to manage your lung health long term.
When breathing feels difficult, it is natural to slow down or avoid activity. But over time, doing less can weaken the muscles, lower stamina, and make breathlessness feel worse. Pulmonary rehabilitation helps break this cycle safely and gradually.
We support people with long-term lung conditions, post-infection breathing problems, allergies, and pollution-related symptoms. Every program begins with an assessment so your plan matches your diagnosis, fitness level, symptoms, and goals.
Aroha brings together a Senior Pulmonologist, a Pulmonary Physiotherapy Team, and a Certified Yoga Therapist. Together, they help you understand your lung condition, exercise safely, clear mucus where needed, improve breathing control, and build habits that support long-term lung health.
Dr. S**** is a Senior Pulmonologist with over 15 years of experience in chronic and complex lung conditions, including COPD, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, and post-infection lung problems. At Aroha, she helps translate medical guidance into practical rehabilitation plans that patients can follow from home.
Sunil Meena is a Certified Yoga Professional specialising in pranayama and therapeutic movement. At Aroha, he helps patients practise gentle, structured breathwork and movement in a way that complements medical and physiotherapy-led rehabilitation.
Aroha Lung Wellness works with experienced pulmonary physiotherapists who support your rehabilitation journey with airway clearance, breathing pattern retraining, inspiratory muscle training, and safe functional exercise. Patients are matched with the most suitable physiotherapist based on their condition, goals, language preference, and schedule.

Real experiences from people who have been through our program.
We are currently working with our first patients and will be sharing their stories here shortly. If you have been through our program and would like to share your experience, we'd love to hear from you.
Share your storyAroha is for adults with lung or breathing problems that affect daily life, such as COPD, asthma, post-COVID or post-TB symptoms, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis, pollution-related concerns, or seasonal allergy-related breathing issues. You should be medically stable before starting exercise-based rehabilitation.
A referral is helpful but not always required. During your free assessment, Dr. S**** will review your history and may ask for recent reports such as spirometry, chest imaging, oxygen readings, or prescriptions. Coordination with your local doctor may be recommended when needed.
Most programs run for 8 to 12 weeks. Your schedule may include live sessions, home exercises, breathing practice, education, and regular progress reviews. At the end, you receive a maintenance plan to continue safely.
Safety comes first. Your program is adjusted to your current symptoms, fitness level, oxygen needs, and medical stability. People with more severe conditions start gently and progress gradually under clinical guidance. If your condition is unstable or worsening quickly, in-person medical care is advised first.
You only need a smartphone, tablet, or laptop with a camera and internet connection. Most exercises can be done at home without special equipment. Your team will let you know if any simple items are useful.
Breathwork can help people become more aware of their breathing pattern, slow down panic breathing, improve relaxation, and support respiratory muscle control. At Aroha, yoga and pranayama are used carefully alongside medical and physiotherapy guidance — not as a replacement for treatment.
